I sketched this in around half an hour while waiting for a delayed plane in Newark, New Jersey. It's for a friend of mine, :storm-wind:, and her wonderful story, the Windstorm series!
Tyrin is and has always been one of my favorite characters of hers, really - he's becoming so much more human (in a manner of speaking) than he was when he first appeared. His journey is just as intriguing as the main character's, as he begins to question why and how he came to exist, and learn about emotions other than anger and hate....
Art-wise, I have to say, there's very little of this picture that I can truly nitpick upon.
As for style... well, I always imagined Tyrin as sort of.. I dunno, punk-looking, so I tried to give his appearance that sort of feel. If you look at his hand, he's holding a few flowers, something that refers to an event within the series itself. I also tried to capture that sad, wistfulness that he's got more and more often these days...
Otherwise? I'd have to say that this is one of the best damned zaffies Dobhars I've EVER drawn!
Ooh, pretty! c8 He does seem very loyal to your description of him; the blank look in his eyes and the "punkish" hair being key characteristics... lol, and everyone's always loved that moment with the flowers. I really need to draw more of him... thanks Miri! ♥

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
